No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Chapter 443, Government Code, to require that the State Preservation Board (board) enter into a contract with a nonprofit corporation formed to assist in the preservation, maintenance, and improvement of the Capitol and the Capitol grounds to develop and implement a plan for the solicitation and acceptance of gifts, grants, devises, and bequest of money, other property, and services to be used to preserve, maintain, and improve the Capitol and Capitol grounds. The board would be required to enter into the contract not later than September 1, 2018. According to the board, the provisions of the bill could be implemented within existing resources.
