No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would repeal Section 21.06 of Penal Code and all related references from the Health and Safety Code relating to the offense of same-sex conduct.
The bill would take effect immediately if it receives a two-thirds vote in each house; otherwise, it would take effect September 1, 2017.
