The bill would require the Department of Information Resources (DIR) conduct a one-time study regarding opportunities and strategies to reduce the state's volume of paper transactions, and submit a report on the findings of the study to the governor, lieutenant governor, speaker of the house of representatives, and Legislative Budget Board. According to DIR staff, the requirements of the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.
