No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Election Code requiring the county election officer to contract with the county executive committee of a political party holding a primary or runoff election using a cost schedule agreed on by the parties.
The LBB assumes any state costs associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.
The bill would take effect September 1, 2017.

According to Fort Bend County and Hunt County, no fiscal impact to local government is anticipated.
