HB1946 by Parker (Relating to the incontestability of certain contracts or leases submitted to the attorney general by certain water districts.), As Engrossed

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Water Code to specify that a contract or lease in which the proceeds are pledged to the payment of a bond may be submitted to the Attorney General for approval.

Based on the analysis of the Office of the Attorney General, any additional work resulting from the passage of the bill could be reasonably absorbed within current resources.

The bill would take effect September 1, 2017.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
