No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Family Code relating to the procedures for identifying and notifying relevant federal agencies about certain child abuse and neglect investigations. Based on information provided by the Department of Family and Protective Services, it is assumed that duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
The bill would take effect September 1, 2017.
