No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend Transportation Code §621.508 to establish an affirmative defense to prosecution or other action for operating a vehicle loaded with livestock feed, grain, or grain by-products with an axle weight up to 12 percent heavier than the axle weight authorized by law.
Based on the information provided by the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles and the Texas Department of Transportation, it is assumed the bill would not result in a significant fiscal impact to the State.
