No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Subchapter D of Chapter 2156, Government Code, pertaining to interstate compacts procedure, to allow the Comptroller to authorize one or more state governments, agencies of other states, or other governmental entities to purchase goods or services through the Comptroller. The Comptroller would be authorized to charged a reasonable administrative fee for those purchases.

According to the Comptroller, the amount and timing of the administrative fees which would be charged is unknown. However, costs to implement the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
