HB2252 by Faircloth (Relating to the feasibility of creating and maintaining a coastal barrier system.), As Engrossed

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would create a joint interim committee, comprised of certain members of the Senate and
House of Representatives, to study the feasibility and desirability of creating and maintaining a
coastal barrier system. The bill would require the committee to provide a report on its findings and
any recommendations to the governor and the legislature no later than December 1, 2018.

The bill would take effect September 1, 2017.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
