Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board
IN RE:
HB2468 by Davis, Sarah (Relating to a study on the assessments used by the Board of Pardons and Paroles to make parole decisions.), As Introduced
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Government Code to require the Board of Pardons and Paroles (BPP) to conduct a study on the effectiveness of the assessments used by BPP in determining recidivism risk. The bill would require BPP to submit a report to certain offices no later than January 1, 2019. This analysis assumes that any additional work resulting from the provisions of the bill could be reasonably absorbed within current resources.
Local Government Impact
No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
