No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Local Government Code allowing a municipality to designate an employee to request the removal and storage of a vehicle that operated in violation of ordinance, parked illegally, parked legally and has been unattended for more than 48 hours, or is reasonably believed to be abandoned. 

The bill would take effect September 1, 2017. 

Local Government Impact

According to the Texas Municipal League (TML), no fiscal impact is anticipated for local government.
