No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code to require the Department of Criminal Justice to include certain additional provisions in contracts with private vendors for the operation of facilities to house offenders released on parole or mandatory supervision. According to TDCJ, no significant fiscal impact is anticipated to comply with the provisions of the bill. The bill would take effect September 1, 2017. 

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
