No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Natural Resources Code to clarify that the Railroad Commission (RRC) is not prohibited from imposing fieldwide unitization of a geologic formation of oil or gas under certain circumstances. Based on the analysis of RRC, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished using existing resources.
