HB2722 by Phillips (Relating to early voting by certain persons who have an employment hardship.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Election Code allowing a person to request a ballot by mail because of employment hardship.

The Secretary of State assumes any cost implementing the provisions of the bill can be absorbed within existing resources.

The bill would take effect immediately if the bill receives two-third vote in each house; otherwise the bill would take effect September 1, 2017.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
