No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Education Code to specify that a rule adopted by the Commissioner or the Texas Education Agency related to methods or procedures for administering public school accountability may not be implemented before the second school year after the school year in which the rule is adopted, unless the Commissioner or TEA is required by law to implement within a shorter period.
