No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend Education Code relating to repayment of certain mental health professional education loans. The bill would allow certain chemical dependency counselors to be eligible to participate in the program.
Based on an analysis of information provided by the Higher Education Coordinating Board and the Health and Human Services Commission, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
