IN RE:
HB3142 by Turner (Relating to a requirement that a public institution of higher education include a disciplinary notation on a student's transcript under certain circumstances.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would require institutions of higher education to include a disciplinary notation on a student's transcript under certain circumstances. Under provisions of the bill, the Higher Education Coordinating Board would establish rules for a student to appeal or petition for the removal of a disciplinary notation. Based on the analysis provided by institutions of higher education and the Higher Education Coordinating Board, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
