No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code to require the Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) to develop and implement a protocol for conducting contraband searches during certain weather conditions. TDCJ anticipates any additional work resulting from the parovisions of the bill could be reasonably absorbed within current resources. The bill would take effect September 1, 2017 and TDCJ would be required to implement the protocol by December 1, 2018.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
