IN RE:
HB3309 by Kuempel (Relating to the regulation of temporary common worker employers.), As Introduced
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Labor Code relating the regulation of temporary common worker employers.
The bill would repeal the requirement that temporary common worker employers hold a state issued license to operate. The Department of Licensing and Regulation estimates this would result in a revenue loss of approximately $3,700 per year.
The agency also indicates there would be a minimal net savings associated with implementing the provisions of the bill.
Local Government Impact
According to the Texas Municipal League, the fiscal impact to municipalities to implement the provisions of the bill is not anticipated to be significant.
