No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Transportation Code to provide the Department of Public Safety (DPS) with the option of making available in a publicly accessible area of a driver's license office certain informational materials on bone marrow donation that have been developed by an entity determined by DPS. It is assumed the provisions of the bill could be implemented using existing resources.

The bill would take effect September 1, 2017.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
