No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend Government Code relating to a periodic review by the Economic Incentive Oversight Board of projects undertaken by certain economic development corporations. The bill would require the Economic Incentive Oversight Board to develop a performance matrix to evaluate certain criteria to provide recommendations on projects.
The Comptroller of Public Accounts and Office of the Governor indicate that the duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished within each agency's existing resources.
The bill would take effect September 1, 2017.
