No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would require the Geo-Technology Research Institute to conduct a study on existing and potential programs to improve energy efficiency in the state and submit a report to the Eighty-sixth Legislature. The University of Texas System, Texas A&M University System, and the University of Houston System indicated the provisions of the bill can be accomplished within existing resources.
