No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure allowing a peace office to issue a citation to a person charged criminal trespassing punishable as a Class B misdemeanor instead of bringing the person before a magistrate.
The bill would take effect September 1, 2017.
