HB3478 by Hinojosa, Gina (Relating to the issuance of and the requirements for obtaining certain driver's licenses or identification certificates; authorizing a fee.), As Introduced

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Transportation Code related to the issuance of driver's licenses and identification certificates.

The bill would repeal Section 521.124 of the Transportation Code and Section 521.1601 of the Transportation Code added by Chapter 1253 (H.B. 339), Acts of the 81st Legislature, Regular Session, 2009.

The bill would take effect September 1, 2017.

The Department of Public Safety anticipates no significant fiscal impact to state or local government from the provisions of the bill. 

Local Government Impact

According to the Texas Municipal League, no significant fiscal impact is anticipated.
