No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Election Code and Government Code relating to maintenance of the statewide voter registration list.
The Secretary of State assumes any additional work associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed using existing resources.
The bill would take effect immediately if it receives a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house or on September 1, 2017.
Local Government Impact
According to Dallas County and Williamson County, no significant fiscal impact is anticipated.
