No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would create a joint interim committee comprised of two members each of the Senate and the House of Representatives and one member appointed by the Governor to study and assess health benefit coverage for obesity under certain health benefit plans. The bill would require the committee to report its findings and any recommendations by January 15, 2019, and the Act would expire on September 1, 2019.
