No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend Texas Occupations Code, Chapter 1904 to allow a person who is certified by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) as a water treatment specialist to treat graywater and alternative onsite water, as defined by the bill. The bill would take effect September 1, 2017.
TCEQ estimates that implementing the provisions of the bill could be done using existing resources.
