IN RE:
HB3845 by Raymond (Relating to the insurance reporting program operated by the Title IV-D agency to enforce certain child support obligations.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Family Code by adding additional exclusions to the duty of an insurer to report claims to the state Title IV-D agency.
The Department of Insurance and the Office of the Attorney General anticipate any additional work resulting from the passage of the bill could be reasonably absorbed within current resources.
The bill would take effect immediately upon a two-thirds majority vote of each house, otherwise the bill would take effect September 1, 2017.
