No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would add Subchapter L to Chapter 11 of the Water Code establishing the San Saba River Water Rights Plan. The bill would establish the board and the advisory committee. The board would have authority to meter water usage and charge assessments to cover the costs in implementing the plan.
Subchapter L would expire September 1, 2021.
The bill would take effect September 1, 2017.
