HB3885 by Coleman (Relating to employment of psychiatrists by certain private hospitals.), As Introduced

The bill would amend the Health and Safety Code to authorize certain hospitals meeting requirements as defined by the provisions of the bill to employ a physician if the physician is a psychiatrist and remains employed by the hospital for not more than 10 years. The bill would take effect September 1, 2017.

The Health and Human Services Commission indicates that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed within the agency's existing resources.
