IN RE:
HB3922 by Stucky (Relating to the places where an active judicial officer may carry a handgun if the officer is licensed to carry a handgun.), As Introduced
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Penal Code to create a defense to the prosecution for the offense of trespass by a license holder with a concealed gun if the actor was an active judicial officer at the time of the offense. Based on the analysis of the Office of Court Administration and the Department of Public Safety, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished using existing resources.
Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
