No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Insurance Code relating to the use of clinical decision support software and laboratory benefits management programs by physicians and health care providers in connection with provision of clinical laboratory services to certain managed care plan enrollees. Based on information provided by the Texas Department of Insurance and Health and Human Services Commission, this analysis assumes the duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
