IN RE:	SB78 by Nelson (Relating to the disposition of state surplus or salvage data processing equipment by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code to allow the Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ)  to sell repaired or refurbished data processing equipment to certain organizations and programs. TDCJ reports that the provisions of the bill can be absorbed within existing resources. The bill would take effect on September 1, 2017.
