No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code to allow the Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ)  to sell repaired or refurbished data processing equipment to certain organizations and programs. TDCJ reports that the provisions of the bill can be absorbed within existing resources. The bill would take effect on September 1, 2017.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
