No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Transportation Code to prohibit a county tax assessor-collector and the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) from refusing to register a motor vehicle solely because the owner is delinquent in the payment of a civil penalty originating from a photographic traffic enforcement system.
