SB252 by Taylor, Van (Relating to prohibiting governmental contracts with a company doing business with Iran, Sudan, or a foreign terrorist organization.), As Passed 2nd House

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Chapter 2252 of the Government Code, regarding contracts with governmental entities, to prohibit such entities from entering into a contract with companies engaged in active business operations with Sudan, Iran, or a foreign terrorist organization.
 
The bill would take effect on September 1, 2017.
 
The Comptroller of Public Accounts has indicated that the bill would have no fiscal impact on the state.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
