No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Education Code to prohibit certain disciplinary actions for students enrolled in a grade level below grade three. The bill would be effective immediately if passed within the necessary voting margins, or September 1, 2017.
The Texas Education Agency anticipates any additional work resulting from the passage of the bill could be reasonably absorbed within current resources.
