SB370 by Garcia (Relating to the removal, suspension, or expulsion of a public school student enrolled in certain grade levels.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Education Code to prohibit certain disciplinary actions for students enrolled in a grade level below grade three. The bill would be effective immediately if passed within the necessary voting margins, or September 1, 2017.

The Texas Education Agency anticipates any additional work resulting from the passage of the bill could be reasonably absorbed within current resources.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
