SB413 by Taylor, Van (Relating to the maintenance of information entered into a fee record in certain counties.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure by allowing any officer designated to collect a criminal court fee to designate a fee as uncollectable if the defendant is deceased, serving a sentence of life or life without parole, or if the fee has been unpaid for at least 15 years.

The bill would only apply to counties with a population of more than 780,000 but less than 790,000.


Local Government Impact

Collin County estimates that the bill would have no fiscal impact on its opperations.
