SB491 by Watson (Relating to the statewide preceptorship program in family medicine.), As Passed 2nd House

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Education Code relating to the statewide preceptorship program in family medicine. The bill would also amend the Education Code relating to the participation of the school of osteopathic medicine at the University of the Incarnate Word in certain state programs supporting graduate medical education programs.

Based on information provided by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
