No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Water Code requiring a special district that does not have a meeting place inside the district to include in the required notice a description of the petition process. The provisions of the bill would apply only to the notice for the district's first meeting of each calendar year.

The bill would go into effect September 1, 2017.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
