No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Government Code relating to complaints filed with and certain other filings submitted to the Texas Ethics Commission. The Ethics Commission and the Office of Court Administration have indicated that any costs associated with implementing the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.

The bill would take effect September 1, 2017.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
