SB637 by Huffines (Relating to state audits of a regional mobility authority that receives a grant or loan from the Texas Department of Transportation.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Transportation Code prohibiting Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) from making a grant or loan to a regional mobility authority unless the authority agrees in writing to allow state audits of the authority at any time.

According to TxDOT and the State Auditor no significant fiscal impact is anticipated.

The bill would take effect September 1, 2017.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
