SB727 by Garcia (Relating to excluding certain students from the computation of dropout and completion rates for purposes of public school accountability.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill's provisions would require the commissioner of education to exclude from the computation of dropout and completion rates students meeting certain specified criteria.

The bill would take effect September 1, 2017, or immediately if passed with the necessary voting margins, and would apply beginning with school year 2017-18.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
