No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Local Government Code allowing a commissioners court to restrict the sale or use of fireworks in an unincorporated area of the county.
The bill would repeal Section 352.051 (a), (b), (e), and (j) of the Local Government Code.
The bill would take effect immediately if the bill receives a two-thirds vote in each house; otherwise the bill would take effect September 1, 2017.
