No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Penal Code and the Occupations Code relating to the authority of a code enforcement officer when performing official duties to possess or carry an instrument used for deterring the bite of an animal. The Department of Licensing and Regulation indicates it could absorb the costs associated with the bill within current resources. The bill would take effect September 1 2017.
