IN RE:
SB793 by Miles (Relating to restrictions on the location and operation of concrete crushing facilities.), As Introduced
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend Texas health and Safety Code, Section 382.065 to require the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality to establish rules to prohibit the operation of a concrete crushing facility within 440 yards of a place of business where employees perform outdoor work near the facility or a park or other outdoor recreational facility. The bill would apply only to applications for a permit to operate a concrete crushing facility filed on or after the effective date of the bill.
TCEQ estimates that the provisions of the bill could be implemented using existing resources.
Local Government Impact
No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
