No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Transportation Code to require the Department of Public Safety's Division of Emergency Management to establish procedures to assist medical supply distributors in accessing highways, streets, and bridges. The costs associated with implementing the bill's provisions are assumed to be absorbable within existing resources.
The bill would take effect September 1, 2017.

According to the Texas Association of Counties, the fiscal impact to counties to implement the provisions of the bill is not anticipated to be significant.
