No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Family Code and Health and Safety Code relating to the form of a marriage license and an application for a marriage license. The Department of State Health Services indicates that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed within the agency's existing resources. The bill would take effect January 1, 2018.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
