SB981 by Kolkhorst (Relating to the compatibility of a high-speed rail facility with multiple types of train technology.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Transportation Code to require a private entity that constructs a high-speed rail service facility to ensure that the facility is compatible with more than one type of train technology. The bill would require the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) to adopt rules to implement as necessary to implement the requirement.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
