No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Transportation Code relating to the designation of an authorized emergency vehicle. The bill would add an emergency management or airport security vehicle to be classified as an emergency vehicle if the vehicle is owned or leased and has been designated or authorized by the joint board.
The bill would take effect September 1, 2017.
