No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Special District Local Laws Code to establish a procedure for the dissolution of the Chisholm Trail Special Utility District. Provides that the City of Georgetown will assume the operation, management, assets, liabilities, and records of the district.
The bill would take effect immediately if it receives a vote of two-thirds of each house. If it does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, it would take effect September 1, 2017.

According to the City of Georgetown, the savings from the dissolution is estimated to be $358,900 per year.
